Harrys Story

“I started reselling during college from my bedroom in 2017. My friend Harry - ’28 Vintage’ (yes, we are both called Harry), was selling his old stuff too and asked if I wanted half on a vintage box for £100 each. Using our part-time hospitality jobs, we scraped the money together and took the plunge. The box of clothes was awful but we split the stock and sold them on our Depop pages and just about made breakeven. From then on, we started travelling to different UK wholesalers. We didn’t have a clue what we were doing, but we were able to refine our product selection with each sourcing trip. Harry and I went to different universities in 2018 but continued our journeys separately. In 2020, I got an internship at a big corp. I thought this was where my side hustle would end for a ‘proper job’. The job was so dull, that I began to put all my energy into the business with the fear of having to go back to this job after Uni. It was a blessing as it was around the pandemic that the vintage market began to pick up. Through the years I have been able to refine my product selection with influence from workwear and preppy wear. We’re super excited as it feels like we’re just getting started with a few fashion student team members on board.”
